Got Chilly so came in and made this---

 Nice warm loaf of banana nut bread- with an dollop of melting butter...

Back out again- Pretty first Daffodil...

 Tiny purple flowers of Creeping Myrtle-

 Blooming sweetness and fragrance of an odd little plum tree volunteer...



Of course I had to be supervised...

Jethro is such a 'paws' on kinda girl !! Mmnnn dirt !!

Alice just likes to keep her eye on things... You never know when a Stellar Jay might need to be dealt with !!

Kuchi stayed indoors on the heated throw that is on my bed... Smart girl-
Babylon was on the edges of the yard doing her thing...

And after we all came back in- Cause it suddenly got flat out COLD-- and before too long, here was Alice...

 
A necessary nap after all that bracing fresh air !!

Shiny Things...

I finally convinced myself to purchase a nice Shiny little Convection/Toaster oven. My full size stove/oven broke ( actually tried to set itself on fire- blue sparks & smoke- very exciting I can tell you !!).

I have been reading how Speedy a Convection Oven cooks and will Save energy like crazy. I can say only this: Love It !!

My trial Bake was a nice simple pan of Biscuits...

A nice square of Biscuits with a swirl of butter-
I was Hooked !!
Have to Admit tho... I sat and watched it Bake the Entire time. Wasn't sure what I expected to happen, but after my previous Baking Experience- Well, a Girl can't help but be Overly Observant !!


There was a brief moment of absolute panic when the Timer Bell went off-  I learned another thing... My Cardiovascular system in Excellent Health !!

My next 'Experiment' was Pan Pizza... Cheesy with Sausage...

Oh Yes !! I even had a nice pot of Hot Cocoa in my New pot My dear Sister-in-Law bought me !!

And fresh baked cookies for Dessert !!

My little Fast-Baker also turns out a nice plate of roasted veggies (Brussel Sprouts, Parsnip, Yams) and Lovely slices of Ham !!
See all that Steam ? Yum...

Alice thinks anything that means she gets her own little Plate of Hammy Goodness is certainly Well Worth It at Twice the Price !!

Wait... I Smell Something Tasty- Gonna go see if Supper is done !!

Crocheting in Grape...

One of the best things in Later Life- 50 plus- is that Nieces and Nephews start Fanilies...
My Niece AnnaLee is expecting her next child/second baby/first daughter late this month...
Since her little boy was born I have always referred to him as 'Fang'.
Noe New Baby Girl has been given the title 'Bump-ette'...
Poor little thing !!
With the impending baby I felt the need to get my Crochet Game going and purchased More Yarn ( really- I need- Need- NEED- more Yarn.) and soon the Bounty arrived...

Not sure what hooky creation I would Finally Decide to make I chose just my usual mish-mash of colours...

 Whoever they put in charge of 'Naming of the Yarn' has a Wild Imagination... and most assuredly a Dictionary/Thesaurus...

Bubble gum and Toast and Pagoda...

Ocean and Blackberry Wine and Mint Julep...

Guacamole and Coconut and Watermelon...

Cornflower and Heather Hedge Tweed...

Bone and Grape...

Mallard and Cherry Red...

And Grape...

Did I mention Grape ?

Cause right at this moment I think I am 'In Love' with Grape.

Grape gave a Wiggley to my Thoughts as to what I would be making... 

 

I saw a Beauteous 'Patchwork' Afghan that Sucrette ...
had made for her new Baby Boy Joe ( who is really one of the sweetest looking little sugar plums Ever !!)...

So- Off to the races I went !!
