Crocheting a Blankie & Hat...

My nieces little boy just had his second (!?!) birthday so he was the Happy Recipient of a Custom Handcrafted Primary Coloured Blankie !!

I call Anna my niece... actually she is the Middle Daughter of my Bestest Friend since we were 14- Debbie's daughter...
Mostly kid colours and this was my First Ginormous Granny Square so somewhere it went Wonky & the outer most edges tried to Ripple...

It was very Calming to Crochet tho... Just going Around and Around until it felt like Blue needed to me added... or Orange !!

It Seemed to get Really Big Really Fast the last Few Stripes...

Actually It turned out rather Nice & Cheery & Cuddley !!

Birthday Boy just loves the character Elmo so I tried my hand at a Googley-Eyed Red/Orange hat...

You do have to admit he does really have Googely Eyes !!

This was the Un-Blurry-ist photo taken at his party...
He is a Fast Moving Giggling Machine !!

Oh...
Are Thirty Something Dads supposed to like Elmo too ?

I might have to make him a Batman hat for his B-day !!

xoxo

The blanket is beautiful and the little Elmo hat is adorable, especially on "the fast moving giggling machine!"

That is the cutest elmo hat! CRocheting can be so relaxing when one doesn't have a complicated pattern to follow. I just started on a granny stripe baby blanket. One of my nieces is expecting.
