Makes me Happier just looking at them-

 This is the opposite side of the patio 'doorway'... Delightful smells !!

 Can't decide which flower I like better...

Got Chilly so came in and made this---

 Nice warm loaf of banana nut bread- with an dollop of melting butter...

Back out again- Pretty first Daffodil...

 Tiny purple flowers of Creeping Myrtle-

 Blooming sweetness and fragrance of an odd little plum tree volunteer...



Of course I had to be supervised...

Jethro is such a 'paws' on kinda girl !! Mmnnn dirt !!

Alice just likes to keep her eye on things... You never know when a Stellar Jay might need to be dealt with !!

Kuchi stayed indoors on the heated throw that is on my bed... Smart girl-
Babylon was on the edges of the yard doing her thing...

And after we all came back in- Cause it suddenly got flat out COLD-- and before too long, here was Alice...

 
A necessary nap after all that bracing fresh air !!

Persistent Precipitation...

... can you hear it ??

Listen- there is a soft sound outside that I have heard for so long- enough for it to be almost unnoticeable.
Rain.
Showers-Sprinkles-Deluging (is that a word ?)-Spattering-Drizzling-Sloshing-Plopping...

This is the four day forecast---

 I recall just a scant couple of weeks ago- there was S.U.N.
Outside to sit and have coffee. Putter around getting Much Needed chores done...

This sweet Rocker was found on Craig*list...

Thought about a nice even coating of Spray Paint...

But instead I fashioned a Cushy seat cushion... Then a Sage Stripe back-pad...

It was a 'Special Project" so Shirley would have her- very very own- rocker !! She looks like she is enjoying herself too !!
So now when she pops across the road for a visit-Her ownly own Rocker-- I Teased her saying I was going to put her name on it... I do believe she was thinking about it !!

The Chestnut- also known as a Candelabra tree 'cause of the Blossoms turning up- was Blooming to beat the band...

A Jazzy new Cushion for my Rocker. Instead of a Cushion for the back--- I remembered that there was a Quilt in a big Camel-backed Trunk... My Mama bought it for me back when I was 16 or so.
As we All do from Time to Time- I was 'Saving It For Nice'.
Oh Ho !!
When is "Nice" going to Happen ??
Ptooey on having it packed Away - Unseen & Unappreciated...

So It rests across the Rocker back. Every-time I go out on the Porch or Sit and Rock for a Spell--- I can Admire it and Think of my Mama !!

My bed of Sword Ferns - transplanted there over 30 years ago- were Loving that Sun. New baby Stalks Growing and Unfurling so Gently.

My Kwan Yin out and Bearing her Serenity and Shadows...
She makes me Happy when I look at her...

The Blue-Jays squawking and begging... This beauty was keeping a beady eye on Kuchi...

...and Kuchi was certainly More than Interested in that Blue Feathered Attractive Wingy thingy !!

This is the Month of May weather-wise... Damp looking isn't it ?

After all was examined and sighed over and making a shopping list for Frames and mattes so I can get my Lovelies up on the wall...
My Dear Neighbor Shirley dropped by. She and her 9 year old great-niece had been mixing and baking and icing and sprinkling thus I was the Lucky Taste Tester of their combined Oven efforts...
(Sorry, no pics of the sugar cookies- but Goodness they were tasty.)

I got to sit down and have a handmade custom cupcake !! With Springy Sprinkles !!
(It didn't last very long either !!)
